The best checklists aren't written once. They get revised constantly. Sit down after a flight and ask what worked and what didn't: the item you fumbled for, the thing you almost forgot, the note that turned out useless. Don't be afraid to change it. Your checklist should track how you actually fly, and that changes as you do.
Put it where your hand goes
A checklist buried three taps deep in a tab of an EFB might as well not exist. A physical device, a knob or a button one twist from the list you need, keeps it in the loop. There's something about a deliberate, tactile action that makes you actually run the thing.
